As Food & Wine's Testing Editor, Jennifer's work focuses on finding the best new products for all sorts of cooks. She's vetted hundreds of products, including side-by-side testing of essential kitchen gadgets like can openers, salad spinners, potato mashers, and tortilla presses. She's written about food and restaurants for over 15 years and is a proficient home cook with a culinary school degree who is always on the hunt for the latest and greatest kitchen technique, trick, or tool.

Jennifer has always been captivated by food, and her curiosity began with traveling as a child. She'd accompany her father on work trips worldwide to sample local cuisines and immerse herself in local markets. Her curiosity continues to this day since there is an endless amount to learn about food and cooking. When she is not cooking or tending to her garden, Jennifer travels in search of new flavors, techniques, and inspiration she can implement at home.

Jennifer joined the Food & Wine team in August 2022. As a Testing Editor, she tests countless amounts of products side by side in her home kitchen to gain first-person insights. She then uses that data and culinary expertise to recommend the best products, hacks, and upgrades for all sorts of cooks. She also helps with strategy around which types of products we test and feature based on trends and her extensive cooking experience.

Before Food & Wine, Jennifer worked as a restaurant critic, food writer, and recipe developer for over 15 years. She specializes in finding under-the-radar restaurants and spotlighting small businesses in Atlanta and beyond. Jennifer's work has appeared in Atlanta Magazine, Simply Recipes, Southern Living, National Geographic, Bon Appetit, Serious Eats, Travel & Leisure, Southern Living, and more. She also has a podcast called "The Food that Binds," where chefs and other culinary professionals discuss cooking, mental health, and relationships.

As a tastemaker and industry leader, Jennifer has been a judge for the James Beard Awards and The IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals) Cookbook Awards.

Education

Jennifer graduated with a BBA in Marketing from The Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta and an AA in Hospitality and Restaurant Management from Cordon Bleu at California Culinary Academy in San Francisco.
