Cruising altitude is about to get a whole lot sweeter. At least on United Airlines.

On Thursday, United Airlines announced it's teaming up with Magnolia Bakery to bring its Banana Pudding onboard select United flights across the United States.

According to a statement provided to Food & Wine, Magnolia's Banana Pudding Wafer Cookie Bits are now being served in United First on flights more than 901 miles. The bits are served in individual, three-ounce cups, and are made with "real bananas, whipped to perfection, and inspired by Magnolia Bakery’s World-Famous Banana Pudding." It's the first time Magnolia's desserts are being served on a commercial airline.

"The only thing more iconic than Magnolia Bakery’s Banana Pudding is enjoying that pudding at 30,000 feet in United First — we know our customers are going to love it,” said Aaron McMillan, United’s managing director of hospitality programs. “We’re changing the way travelers eat and drink onboard, offering more variety and more elevated options with partners like Magnolia.”

The bakery further explained in the statement, this is just one more step in its quest to transform from “a New York treat to an anywhere eat.” It's also recently opened its first location in LaGuardia Airport, so even if you're not in United First, you could always swing by and get some to go if you're flying through. Magnolia also recently offered exclusive desserts via Doordash, bringing its Peanut Butter with Chocolate Chunks banana pudding flavor right to people's doorsteps.

“As an avid traveler and baker, I know what an important role food can play in your travels, which is why I’m so excited to bring this new, innovative product to thousands of adventurers each year,” Bobbie Lloyd, the CEO and chief baking officer at Magnolia Bakery, shared. “This is a first-of-its-kind collaboration for Magnolia Bakery and we could not be more thrilled to be working with United. Our team worked for three years to develop this new Banana Pudding and we’re delighted for guests to get a sweet taste of this beloved dessert in the skies.”

Magnolia also shared it's got other things coming down the pipe for fans, and as Eddie Revis, the chief commercial officer at Magnolia, added, "This is the first stop of many to bring Magnolia Bakery to new places in new ways."
