KFC is ready to go to battle once again with its chicken. Specifically, this time, with its new chicken tenders.

On Monday KFC introduced its new Original Recipe Tenders, which it says "are not like other chicken tenders — they are double hand-breaded, using KFC's legendary secret blend of 11 herbs and spices and fried to golden perfection." The brand is so ready for you to try them that it's selling them as part of its $5 Original Recipe Tenders Box, which includes three KFC Original Recipe Tenders, its Secret Recipe Fries, and two of its signature sauces.

"We know consumers crave bold flavor, and chicken tenders are a familiar favorite — that's why we're proudly proclaiming the deliciousness of our new tenders seasoned with our secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices. Nothing hits like the unmatched flavor of KFC's Original Recipe," Catherine Tan-Gillespie, the chief marketing officer and chief development officer at KFC U.S., shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine. "And with an unbeatable $5 deal, we think you'll agree our new tenders are poised to win the chicken tender battle."

As for which sauces you can choose from, KFC had one more surprise there too: It's got a brand-new sauce to try along with its chicken tenders.

The new Comeback Sauce, KFC explained, is a "creamy, zesty" creation that it says pairs perfectly with its original recipe. (Though if you need extra sauce, you can always follow our recipe to make your own here.) There's also KFC's Sticky Chicky sauce, which is a blend of "sweet and tangy flavors," including pineapple, garlic, vinegar, and chili, and the KFC Sauce, a blend of "tangy and sweet" for those looking for an OG dip.

KFC isn't being demure or mindful about its latest battle. As it pointed out in its press release, "Why choose 'Louisiana herbs and seasonings' when you can get the iconic KFC Original (secret) Recipe of 11 herbs and spices … Why settle for one signature sauce, when you can pick from three (and get two of them in your $5 Tenders Box)?" And, rather pointedly, it added,

"You can get your KFC Original Recipe Tenders on Sunday, too," taking a little jab at another well-known chicken spot that's famous for being closed on Sundays.

Beyond all that, KFC is also offering a bang-for-your-buck digital exclusive: the Tenders + Nuggets Family Meal Deal, which includes six chicken tenders, 12 all-white meat chicken nuggets, two large sides of your choice, four biscuits, and six dipping sauces. And all of that costs less than $25. Just remember to either order online or download the app.

And for those who are members of the KFC Rewards program, the chain will be offering "13 Days of Daily Deals" from October 19–31.
