We asked Chef Chang why he chose to partner with Meyer, and he said, “What really drew me to Meyer is that they don’t just make cookware for the sake of it — they rethink it.” He continues by saying that Meyer collects data from home cooks and the tools they use so they can design great products. It’s such a workhorse in the kitchen — whether you’re stir-frying, steaming, or even deep-frying, it handles everything. The heat distribution is incredible, and it’s lightweight enough to toss ingredients around without feeling like you’re wrestling with it. Plus, the versatility of the wok makes it an essential piece for any kitchen. It’s the piece I reach for the most,” Chang told us. One doesn’t necessarily think of a wok as a particularly versatile pan, but the design of this piece works for just about anything you happen to be cooking, from spaghetti to stir fry to macaroni and cheese. The clever design and unique half-moon shape make this pan perfect for frying, braising, simmering, steaming, and sauteeing anything on the menu. Nonstick Saucier, 3-Quart Meyer $60 at Meyer.com Chang affectionately refers to the nonstick saucier as the “mini wok” for its equal ability to cook just about anything with its generous, rounded shape. This pan is ideal for cooking anything when a bit of pan depth comes in handy. The 3-quart nonstick saucier is a core staple in any kitchen, from oatmeal to scrambled eggs to noodles to sauces. Nonstick Frypan, 9.5-Inch Meyer $60 at Meyer.com We asked Chef Chang about his experiences cooking with these pans, and he shared something that happened while filming his popular Netflix show, saying, “Recently on Dinner Time Live, I covered the surface of the frypan with duck confit and crisped it over low heat. When it was ready, I flipped the confit over onto a plate, and the end result was a duck pancake of sorts. The nonstick pan was perfect for this exact move.” This oven-safe pan has a special ultra-bonded nonstick finish that will last for years and is perfect for giving anything a beautifully crisp sear, from gyoza dumplings to grilled cheese to even duck confit pancakes (yes, please). Universal Glass Lid Meyer $25 at Meyer.com This clever universal glass lid is designed to fit not only the saucier and frying pan in this collection but also all the other pans in your kitchen cabinets. This all-in-one lid aims to declutter your cabinets and provide you with any other miscellaneous culinary services you may require. Chang uses it as a spoon rest, trivet, and even a fried egg holder while finishing his fried rice. What new use will you find for this resourceful lid? Was this page helpful?
