The aptly named “SMOKED A Grilling Inspired COLAogne” is a fragrance that combines the “unmistakable scent combination of Pepsi and a flame-fired grill.” So dad can convince the fam he’s spent the day grilling up burgers with just a quick spritz and some expert hiding of those takeout bags. According to the brand, the first-of-its-kind scent includes notes of smoke, spice, caramel, citrus, cedarwood, and more, combining the aroma of a cool Pepsi with the sweet and smoky notes of a summer barbecue. In other words, that classic summer dad smell. “The world’s first-ever COLAogne is designed to reinforce just how well grilling and Pepsi go together. You don’t even need to fire up the grill to experience the joy of Pepsi and grilling – you can bask in the unapologetically delicious scent everywhere you go,” says Jenny Danzi, senior director of brand Pepsi. Pepsi We’d argue that basking in the scent of burgers and Pepsi might be a little disappointing when there are in fact no burgers and Pepsi nearby, but you do you. To celebrate the launch of the product, Pepsi has teamed up with Walmart at select Garden Center locations in Denver, Miami, and Philadelphia so shoppers can take the fragrance on a test drive. You’ll be able to try the scent at these three locations on June 15: 2770 W Evans Avenue, Denver8400 Coral Way, Miami2200 Wheatsheaf Lane, Philadelphia If you don’t happen to live near one of those stores, Pepsi and Bobby Flay are also hosting a contest for fans to snag their own bottle. Now through June 16, fans can enter to win their own 50ml bottle of the COLAogne by sharing a photo of their dad grilling on social media and tagging Pepsi with the hashtag #GrillDadSweepstakes. The COLAogne is just one part of the brand’s barbecue-related summer plans. “All summer long, Pepsi is celebrating that grilling is #BetterWithPepsi, and that every night can – and should – be a grill night,” said Danzi in a statement. In May Pepsi launched two new flavors with the grill in mind: Pepsi Lime and Pepsi Peach, both of which are designed to help elevate the taste of barbecued foods and enhance smoky flavor.
