Amazon Just Listed a Stylish Tiny House — Its Kitchen Is Bigger Than My NYC Apartment's

As a food writer living in New York City, I often say I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. But while I adore the amazing restaurants and constant action the city offers, there are some downsides to living in such a metropolis. Like most Manhattanites, I live in a small apartment with an even smaller kitchen. In fact, I’m starting to think that tiny home dwellers have more living space than I do.

Amazon just listed a foldable, full-equipped tiny home, and based on the floor plan, its kitchen is larger than mine. This two-story tiny home is outfitted with everything you need to get cooking, including ample storage space and built-in appliances, and it’s shockingly affordable given its amenities.

The house’s overall dimensions are 315 x 240 x 234 inches, and there are 20 feet of usable floor space. This prefab tiny house is portable, folding up when you need to transport it, and one happy shopper confirmed that it’s “easy to set up.” Once installed, it’s made to withstand any weather condition, from rain to hail. The double-decker tiny home is made from sleek wood panels with matte black stainless steel detailing, which means it’s not only sturdy, but chic and stylish to boot. 

Despite its small size, the tiny home has a fully operable kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Plus, there are two balconies and even a terrace large enough for a couple of chairs and a small table. The house is also energy-efficient, which will save you money and lower your carbon footprint in the long run.

Not only is it surprisingly spacious, but it’s convenient for those who are too busy to outfit an entire home with the essential appliances. It comes fully furnished with a built-in air conditioning system and a bathroom with a toilet, shower, sink, mirror, and plenty of storage. 

But it’s the tiny home’s kitchen that makes it stand out. Relatively speaking, the kitchen is huge at 13.5 x 9.8 feet (mine measures just 12 x 10 feet). It has ample counter space, lots of drawers and cabinets for storage, a full-sized fridge, and a standard range complete with a four-burner stovetop.

While it’s technically a tiny home, this structure is shockingly spacious. Considering its size and quality, you won’t find a better price than this. “It was so cheap I didn’t put a dent in my bank account,” the shopper continued. With a kitchen bigger than my apartment’s, this is the perfect tiny home for avid home cooks.
